I’m Devora Schwartz, 

CEO of the Surgical Shop. 

The Surgical shop was established in 1992, driven by my personal need for compression stockings. Prior to its inception, such stockings were typically only available in drug stores. Purchasing them meant relying solely on trust that they would fit properly and serve their intended purpose.

Driven by my own necessity, the idea for the surgical shop took shape. I engaged with local doctors, attentively listening to their patients' concerns. Efforts were made to contact insurance companies, advocating for coverage of these essential items that had previously been overlooked. Learning to effectively communicate with both doctors and insurance providers became imperative, as I aimed to represent the growing community grappling with similar issues.

Initially operating from the living room of my small apartment, the store quickly became bustling with fittings, paperwork, and the juggling act of family life. Eventually, we relocated from our original location to a more accommodating space for our customers where it is today in the Shoppers Haven, Monsey NY. What began as a solo endeavor evolved into the professional business it is today, with guidance from Above.

Gratitude for the success of the surgical shop is owed to the guidance and vision provided by Hashem, as well as to my supportive parents. Their boundless love and encouragement were instrumental in realizing our dream. My husband and I are immensely thankful for their invaluable assistance in making our vision a reality.

Today, we proudly offer nationwide shipping, serving individuals across the country with the same dedication and care that have been our guiding principles from the start.
